MARKETS IN MEXICO CITY AND AROUND

One of the most interesting things to visit in a country like Mexico is its markets, old ones, ancient ones, popular and ethnic ones. They often called "tianguis", places with a fixed place and schedule where can be find lot of interesting things that speak about the local culture. There are thousands, they were present and actually, created in the prehispanic period and from then they take their features. It is impossible to speak or even to mention all of them, even the most known, but i will be tray to be putting in this space as many as possible as a reference or guidance for the new visitor.

San Felipe de Jesus, situated in the area of the same name, in the north-east of Mexico city with subway stations no so far ( Impulsora and Martin Carrera). It is implemented sundays from early morning to more or less 5pm. All sort of things, stolen, old, food, clothing, machinery, shoes, music, etc, etc. Some people claim it is the biggest in Latin America, maybe yes.

CAUTIONS TRAVELING MEXICO

It is very important to observe certain cautions visiting Mexico, specially for certain touristic destinies because violence has increased incredibly. One of the main suggestions is not looking like having money, too much money, not showing off luxury articles, credit cards, or simply paying with big bills. If one is a "white" visitor and comes from a country where the language is not spanish, it is enough reason to be guessed as rich, so try to be humble and show you come from a rich country but you personally are not rich, unless you want to spend your holidays only inside a hotel with blue colored water pool and drinking cocos! . Be careful also when you get money out from from the ATM machine, specially in the airports, also if you change money in money exchange business, change little, get money in a supermarket or in a safe place with lot of people. In Mexico city specially there have been many assaults to foreigners after the took their money from machines. Remember always, moral changes, hard times change people, different cultures different rules. Take care of your life, in case of an assault, give your money, often people are doped or have the protection of mexican police, or are police themselves! ..they can shoot you down with not regret, cases like this happen often. All mexicans are that way? for sure no! there are still lot of very kind, warm mexicans who like to help and invite to strangers when they come to the country, they are curious about it, they are nice, but unfortunately, when one just arrived to this culture, it is almost impossible to note the difference between ones and others, so it is necessary to extreme cautions..
