CHERAN MICHOACAN, PEOPLE REACT TO STOP CRIME
In the Purepechan locality of Cheran in Michoacan, people seems to be organizing themselves to stop the attacks of crime, no only related to the illegal forest exploiting, but also from the extortion and assaults since the state government and police do simply nothing to protect population. In the same line, and since that zone of the country has high levels of migration to the USA, it has begun to sound that Michoacan migrants living in that country have started to send economic help to Cheran to support organization.
At this moment, the Mexican government and the local one, continue "analysing" the situation, just as they do when they don´t want to do anything..
